Meet Dr. Milita Petrauskaite (Gilbert, AZ)

Milita Petrauskaite, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2019 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014.

Dr. Petrauskaite specializes in ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and dry eye as well as myopia control and contacts. Dr. Petrauskaite always found joy in helping others. While in high school, she tutored students with ADHD and special needs.

During her time at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Petrauskaite worked in the Pathology Department of the Medicine Research College where she contributed to cancer research. This passion to help others led Dr. Petrauskaite to the field of optometry, which she believes is the perfect environment to get to know her patients and find solutions for their unique eyecare needs.

In Dr. Petrauskaite free time, she enjoys learning about and practicing a healthy lifestyle including dietary and fitness tips, tricks and hacks. Additionally, she enjoys listening to educational/practical podcasts and reading new books. Dr. Petrauskaite also has a love for traveling and experiencing new cultures with her husband, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and friends.
